Great place right on the banks of Loch Lomond. Choose one of the loch side pitches and you won't be disappointed. Wardens on site are very friendly and very helpful....

castles in scotland

With castles dating back to the 11th century and a historic past of battles, sieges and attacks, there have been well over two thousand castles in Scotland, and it is no surprise that there are over one thousand left today with fascinating tales to tell. From ruins to fully preserved castles, small and quirky to huge, imposing fortresses, Scotland's Castles are a big part of the country's heritage and popular tourist attractions.

A visit to famous Edinburgh Castle is a must but try and make time for some of the smaller less well-known castles which provide a quieter tourist attraction.
