Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, is steeped in history and one of the most
beautiful cityscapes in the world which is bursting with culture. The second largest
Scottish city, Edinburgh is located in the south-east of the country and is ideal
for a family holiday, business trip or cultural indulgence alike.
With a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the heart of the city comprising of the medieval
Old Town, the Georgian New Town and award winning modern architecture, Edinburgh
is a mixture of styles and a fascinating city to wander around.
Explore Edinburgh at a leisurely pace (you can save the trekking and walking for
the Highlands and countryside) and you’ll see numerous photo-worthy views, after
all it is one of the most beautiful and elegant cities in Europe. Some of these

With plenty of parks and gardens, cliffs, rocks and grassy hills and even a few
dormant volcanoes, Edinburgh’s landscape is surprisingly green and scenic.

Edinburgh is the perfect place for some retail therapy with a variety of shops and
malls giving shoppers plenty of choice, particularly for traditional Scottish souvenirs
and food products in particular. An increasing number of fashion boutiques and designer
stores continue to appear in Edinburgh meaning it offers a superb clothes shopping
experience, especially as Edinburgh is home to Scotland's only Harvey Nichols store.
