Only a five minute walk from here is the Edinburgh International Conference Centre which is located in the main financial district of the city.
Averon Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast offers good value bed and breakfast accommodation with private car park, only 10 minutes walk to Edinburgh Castle. Averon is a Georgian townhouse, situated in a residential area in the south side of the centre of Edinburgh. A full Scottish or Continental breakfast await you, served with a warm welcome. We are pleased to arrange day tours to Loch Ness and Loch Lomond, with a pickup from the guest house.
The Averon Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast offers b&b accommodation and excellent facilities and is a historic listed building built in 1750 and to the rear of the house is a beautiful garden well stocked with herbs and fruit trees. The garden also dates back to 1750 and as such is one of the oldest gardens of its type in the city. The house itself is good example of a Georgian town house villa of which there are many examples throughout Scotland and northern England. The house is fully restored but still retains its original character and style. To the rear of the Averon Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast is a car park and you can leave your car here for the duration of your stay.
When the house was built it was located on open countryside outside the old city of Edinburgh which was the old town surrounded by the ancient city wall and close to Edinburgh Castle. The Edinburgh Averon Bed and Breakfast is close to the Kings Theatre and only a short five minute walk to the Usher Hall which is a popular venue for symphony orchestras particularly the events of the Edinburgh International Festival. Also close at hand is the Edinburgh Film House and the Cameo Cinema which together host the International Film Festival every August which attracts cinema goers from all over the world.
We are located about five miles from Edinburgh Airport where you can reach the city from all over the world with daily flights from New York and various Canadian Cities.
B&B Accommodation
The Averon Guest House has a total of 14 rooms of which 8 are en-suite. The rooms are located on the ground and first floor. There is a mixture of double, twin, family and single rooms. The rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard and the rooms are all centrally heated. Some have a view to the rear of the guest house which has a beautiful walled garden which dates back to 1750 and is stocked with numerous herbs and fruit trees and is a peaceful haven which guests are invited to use and relax after a busy day around the city.
Check in and out
Guests can check in at any time and the latest check out time on departure is 10.30am, although it is possible to change these times by prior arrangement.

All rooms have colour television and tea making facilities.
Disabled Guests
Although not fully equipped for the disabled, some bedrooms are situated on the ground floor together with the dining room.

To the rear of the guest house is the car park which offers secure parking for the duration of your stay.
Location
Central Edinburgh close to Edinburgh castle and all the main tourist sights incuding all the main galleries, museums, and the historic Old town. The Averon Bed and Breakfast is situated in the city centre close to the Kings Theatre, the main theatre in the city. You can leave your car safely in the car park for the duration of your stay as we are only a 10 minute walk to Princes Street and the Castle and all the main tourist sites. There are numerous restaurants close by and within a 5 minute walk are the main venues for the Edinburgh International Festival. As well as the theatres, there are also numerous cinemas and every year in august is held the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Also located close by is the Edinburgh International Conference Centre together with the new Edinburgh Financial District. To the rear of the guest house is the main terminus for the Union Canal from where barges and floating restaurants travel as far as Glasgow. Also near by is the famous Bruntfield Links which has one of the oldest golf courses in the world dating back to about 1550.
